We actually had the painter match the existing trim here, so I don't have a color number for this.

Beautiful view! Personally I would not go with shutters or blinds on these two picturesque windows. The mountains give the feeling of openness and freedom in the great outdoors and blinds for me wouldn't match this part of the house. Having breezy curtains you could swish open in a flash and instantly enjoy the great outdoors it what it screams.

Now, you have one arched window and one square. Would do window dressings that dimensionally match each other when closed but when open you see the different window shapes. Don't be afraid to set the rods much higher than the actual window. Personally I would take them to the top of the wall for height when they are closed and separation from the window when open. I would go with straight round rods across the top of each with decorative matching hardware. Can go with loop or hook curtains your preference, would go with solid color, darker earth tone that would contrast with the view for a pop or lighter colors if you want the infinity look of melting into the outdoors. Also consider a wooden cornice at the top of each. In that case the rods would be covered along with the top of the curtains so top style of curtain would be redundant.

Okay, just some thoughts to consider. Enjoy creating your masterpiece. :-) Libby

As all the windows are arched, I would hang a rod high over them and long enough to have panels hang mostly off the sides of the windows. For privacy, they could be working drapery or simply panels if privacy is not an issue. Choose a simple, solid, neutral color, maybe simple linen type fabric.

so sorry for you. When I choose my whites, I always have to go with a cool, less yellowy white because those always read yellow and/or beige to me and I don't like them, AT ALL, because I tend to like cooler colors. Can you possibly repaint because I think this is really going to bug you.

We just had a new floor put down in the living room, a light maple...I would like to paint the walls white and go for grays for furnishings and curtains, with a shot of color, in the blues or a turquoise, here and there... what would be the best white, a serene, happy white? Someone mentioned BM Milk Mustache....

Help! My ceilings are BM cloud white. Looking for help on baseboards trim and crown. Should crown be the same colour as ceiling or trim. Upstairs my wall colours are light so I was thinking cloud white for doors trim and baseboards but on the main floor I have a dark palette except the body of the house is BM carrington beige. I was thinking of doing the main floor trim baseboards and door BM white down. And keeping the crown cloud white to match ceiling. Thoughts?
