Man Space: A Guy Likes a Nice Closet, Too

If clothes make the man, shouldn't a man make a great space for the clothes? Take inspiration from these dream closets for dudes Full Story »

franklin36 The closet photos are wonderful. Thank you. Such great ideas. My wonderful husband has most of the closet space and that's fine. We have a skylight in our fairly small (by comparison) walk-in closet and I love it. We are retired so just don't need the closet space for a career wardrobe. I'm trying to convince my husband to donate a few jackets--they take up space!

uberv There are products such as horticultural vinegar that will kill weeds without introducing nasty chemicals.

Michellina Zdraveski-van Loder Thanks Ruari and uberv, I'll have to google the horticultural vinegar as it's not something I've heard of but sounds very interesting. I use vinegar for everything around the house, so may as well try it in the garden. Our whole yard is going to be garden beds for vegetables, so we want the ground around them to be paths and gravel. I'd still be able to do the crazy paving with the gravel in between?

Joanne Cannell Designs If you don't compost you have more wet trash & it would ideally be next to the sinkm wuth the dishowasher on the opposite side of the sink. But if you do compost (along with recycling), you will have very little trash & it could be on the other side.

Carla I have the space so this works well for me: Pull out trash bin (actually I have one cabinet door which opens to 2 bins, one for trash, and one for recycling) to the left of the sink. (Underneath the sink is too tight for me with all the pipes.) Double-bowl sink...smaller bowl on left side with the garbage disposal to rinse off dishes. If I need to soak anything I then place it in the larger right bowl. Dishwasher to the right. To the right of that I put the plates above and drawer for silverware. To the right of that is the kitchen table - it FLOWS!
    Great article by the way!
