What a transformation (and a HUGE undertaking)! The third floor bedroom is my favorite!

Re: David Ruud's "too much of a good thing." The homeowners did not build a McMansion. They made a beautiful home out of an existing, apparently somewhat neglected, building. In doing so they helped support multiple trades persons, including designers, painters, electricians, plumbers, carpenters and the like. They are also paying taxes on a house which must appraise higher than pre-remodel. They are showing pride in the neighborhood in a place like Hoboken, which is not exactly the Hollywood Hills. I respect your opinion, but don't believe the homeowners have anything to "feel guilty" about.
