1. if you have a problem with strong winds use a sleeper piece of wood to keep door open. nice and heavy, kids dont pick it up...and dogs dont chew on it like those stupid plastic stops. ad a rope for convience.

2. old paletes as a frame with a steel plate painted with chaulk board paint. it magnetic and nice and handy in the kitchen for messages etc. i used a set of old spoons that we never used...but you can what ever you want.

Thank you pursekeys for the info on the chairs! I love the Windsor type back on them. We have some of the same type of spring rocking chairs made of iron and love them for their comfort, durability, and beauty. But ours have a squared back with a knob on either side. I can't tell you how many times I have bent over and nearly knocked myself in the head on one of those knobs! Thank you again!
