Boy, these folks have vision. The first before-and-after stopped me in my tracks. Bravo - and they are one brave couple. I'm sure this house was TOTALLY UGLY when they bought it and now it's gorgeous.

The sofa in the family room (first pic) is exactly what I've been searching for. The article said it is from Ikea's "Karlstad" range but the one in their UK website is not the same! I guess I'd have to look elsewhere.
BTW it is a fabulous makeover -- a really lovely house.

Good info, I have just one plant in a pot. I shall work on it. will tell you more after the summer. By the way I bought this plant from a farmer selling strawberries along the roadside. I didn't buy any fruit, I bought the plant to try my luck.

Find out which species is native to your area and grow it. You may have to find a native plant nursery or a seed source. I promise they will require considerably less care than any of the hybrids or European species or even species from another part of the U.S.
