horrendous, had a series of these throughout my first marriage, as my then husband was a true believer. Over the years they morphed from a big bag of water to tubes of water inside a foam rubber frame. Low, plywood platform supporting this.... hated it.

ETA, again, why this question, why is Houzz asking????? Considering a waterbed vertical?

No way. I remember having one of those when I was pregnant, ha (she's 32 now). But when my husband would get out of bed before me, I would get sloshed around and ended up on my side with my fat stomach. Do you know how hard it is to roll over on a wave of water when you've got a belly full of (well call it water) water and baby? A good exercise :)

To keep the design looking fresh and airy, I would suggest using the darker container so that it anchors the table more definitively but using the lighter color flowers as those pieces create a soft, airy aesthetic when viewed against the lighter shades of the wall beyond. Creating a floral design with what designers call "negative space" within it will let light filter through the piece to prevent it from becoming too heavy or dominant in the space. Hope we were able to help!

I'm with Michael Lee and going for the white pot with the flowers out of the brown pot. The maroon flowers tie in with the rug and the white vase looks more balanced on the table than the taller brown vase. Trim the bouquet just a wee bit shorter and rounder so it doesn't overwhelm the vase and wah lah! Floral perfection!

Prefer the lovely colors of floral, but appreciate the Scottish history behind plaid.
