Your home is tastefully elegant. you have a wonderful sense of style. I enjoyed viewing all of your creative touches, especially the high ceilings and exposed beams. A great read on a Sunday morning and very inspiring. I think I want to build something by hand! :)

I'm a big fan of lots of white with pops of color, so I really love the brightly painted doors. Also LOVE the clip on side tables on the bed! The fewer furniture pieces touching the floor the easier it is to clean. I think I'd like a house where I could install hammock chairs, swings and tables from the ceiling and have my floors completely free of all free standing furniture...

i agree that i'd add more white to the distressed cabinets - the gray comes through too much imo- but the overall look is fantastic regardless and I love the island and stools just as they are. great job putting it all together.

Cabinets and woodwork look unfinished. I would also paint them white or even another color. That is just me. These homeowners may love the look and it us their beautiful home! Nice job.

I love the cabinets, but the two types of flooring in the kitchen is way to distracting, should of left it all wood and that way you didn't have so many things competing against each other

I like that the furnishings don't over take the place: smaller scale and just enough needed for usefulness.

Several design and architechural feautures struck me with this amazing home. It is so warm and inviting with the style and colors. The headboard for the master bed with the surrounding windows is really unique and I was definately drawn to it. Great use of space and I try to imagine how I could incorporate some of the ideas in my own home!!!

Love it! You brought an old home back to life respecting that it is an old home and maintaining that character and charm. Also love that the spaces aren't over crowded with furniture, and that the furniture used doesn't block the light, air flow or view: especially the chairs around the tables - love that they have an open back so don't take up much visual space. And love that Mediterranean blue used sparingly throughout the house! Great color pops!

Such great design elements and love the fact that such beauty can be created without breaking the bank. My favorite are those painted stairs!

I failed you, guys. I looked for all of these tiles in four big stores and did not find any of these. So, I just used that (on top of this) color palette instead and got an almost plain cream design instead. (But it had tiny random navy dots) Sigh... I'll just use this for future reference.... I AM SO SORRY GUYS! :(

Can you wait until the room is painted the way you want it and then put some samples in to see how they look in the light? I am all about the setting and the light. Good luck and be confident! You are making the best decision you can for what you want. BTW I have wood floors everywhere and love them. Don't be afraid of real wood if that is what you want.

I think that is one of the nicest modern homes I've seen on this site. It still has warmth and brightness, often missing when folks go "modern". The views are spectacular - l love it, and I'm not that into "modern" (often they lack a coziness that I prefer).

Congratulations to you, and I think (and hope) you will get much more business from this. What a wonderful opportunity your Dad gave you! And what a wonderful job you did for him! Win-win!
