After spending hours looking at colors on Houzz, on Sherwin Williams and on Benjamin Moore's websites, I went out and bought paint samples of the colors that I thought I "loved". After I actually painted them on the walls, in several different spots, and let them dry, I hated three of the six colors. Lesson learned, its far cheaper to buy a $6 sample than it is to paint an entire room some color that you'll end up hating. All the samples I bought were worth every penny. Rather than discarding the unused sample paint, I'm using it to paint the risers of my basement stairs in a rainbow of different colors.

Well-converted space is possibly more valuable than $60K.

@calimaui-I suspect it is because some people, without $60K autos, put the needs, comfort and well-being of their families over the housing of their possessions.
