Margie, I've actually been to the house with the beautiful patio/entertaining space you did with the white pergola and decomposed granite. Absolutely stunning! I am in awe over your work always. Wish I could afford you ;)
In the meantime I'm having my backyard redone with mostly permeable materials and I'm curious what you think about something. Rather than putting in pavers like my landscaper wants to for our large patio area off the back door- what do you think about a solid DG patio with a paver border? He said he would do a road base, tamp it down, tamp down the dg, and then put a bonder on it if I wanted to go that route. With the bonder will that prevent the rodent problem the commenter above was talking about, and will it grow weeds ever or no? Also, does the bonder prevent the water from permeating back into the ground? Thanks so much for your answers! I truly appreciate it and look forward to seeing more of your work.
