Hi Lisa, Great article! White kitchens just look so clean and crisp. They are very popular here in the Northeast. Two-Tone kitchens also make the home very warm and inviting too. By including light wood flooring and little pops of color throughout, the kitchen will be nothing short of beautiful! We recently just did this kitchen below that the homeowner loves! She cooks and entertains in ALL the time and says it's incredible to work in. Thanks!

We are building a new single family home in a development in our city. I know very little about any of this stuff (a few days ago I was considering carpeting the whole house until I was set straight by some good friends) and understand my learning curve will need to be steep. Wood floors look great, and I was considering going with a darker color (one of our friends has very dark almost black floors that look really sharp). The pale oak looks pretty good too... I'm wondering if anybody has any input.. Thanks

If you have or will have kids, don't go dark...they show every little thing...so frustrating! They look beautiful in clean houses, but unless you want to vacuum every hour go light.
