Great backyard ideas. By keeping things simple, you give yourself so much more space and less clutter.

Some water municipalities do not for the collection of rain water due to the face that it becomes a breeding ground for Mosquitos. If your water municipality does allow the catch of rain water be sure to add the tablets that kill the larvae. We all know we don't need any more West Nile virus cases

We are building and I'm intrigues by using rock salt to add texture/visual interest to our driveways, patio & pool deck. Perhaps accented with brick edging and expansion joints. SO many options make it really hard to choose!

Is it possible to saw thru the existing joints in concrete to widen the space to create a look like the 3rd & 4th (green in between joints) photo above? Even the 5th picture has widened joints with rocks/pebbles. I like the idea of breaking the concrete up with green, it also provides a more modern look to a concrete patio without taking on the huge project of completely removing. Are concrete saws in existence? What are the pros & cons you can think of with a project like this? Thank you!
