hairbyhosie Can anyone give me some advice on painting my kitchen? It's a 22 year old house so the walls are very bumpy and lumpy I've painted them with a semigloss paint and everything shows. I don't want to do a flat paint in the kitchen. Will I have to sand down the walls down to the drywall? If I do it seams like it would be messy and allot of work. Short from doing venetian plaster is there anything I can do to smooth the walls down? Thanks.

olldroo What sort of walls are they? What has caused the lumps and bumps? Unfortunately, gloss paint does shows imperfections.
