    Crisp Architects I think either one would look great. A white door with a black screen door will probably look nice with the break up of color, however, black entry doors can bring a bold element and look very aesthetically pleasing as well. I have seen both the white door with black screen and the black painted doors on historic traditional homes. It really will depend on your taste. If you are looking to tie in the shutters, a black door would match nicely.

    Crisp Architects It is not about one being "more traditional" over the other. It all depends how much light you want to let in and how much wall you want to take up with window.
