denold I like the idea of french doors from our kitchen to the patio, but I don't think I can live with flies, bees, mosquitoes coming in our house. Is there a way to still have a screen door even if you have french doors?

Tina Swarup bookmarked an ideabook

tammytimamy My favourite colours! I was starting to feel a bit 'jarred' every time I walked from one room to another (from blue to green, to red, to pink and orange!). I think I went a bit mad with accessories when I moved in. However, having lived with various hues of blue, I realise it is the most appealing colour to me, and being a naturally stressy type of person, having these similar tones throughout my house might help! However, I'm not completely getting rid of the other colours. My spare room has bright orange accessories and brown furniture, as it's a north facing house (in Scotland), it needed some warming up. I found light teal works really well with orange, and have added a minimal number of accent accessories just to tie in with other areas of the house. It just grounds it a bit. The rest of the house is quite neutral, with touches of various hues of blue (from duck egg, to teal, to deep blue). I think it works quite well.
