While living in Dallas Texas, I had some irises that were evergreen. They bloomed all spring and summer and the leaves never went brown. Anyone know what type they might have been?

This ideabook shows the difficulty of writing general gardening advice. The Californian writer has a slant what's difficult with these bulbs that is quite different from a New Englander's.

I garden in Moscow and have no trouble with crocuses or tulips. It's probably zone 3, by the American system (in the Russian system, it's "the middle zone.")
