These are obviously all beautiful new homes....what does the person do with a 70's house where the kitchen ceiling is a cut out box, with 2 or 3, 36" or 48" flourescent bulbs, and the cover is 3 or 4 plastic panels on grids, that come crashing down on the floor when you try and remove them to change the bulbs? I have never seen a solution to this problem on your website! Then ceiling is too low for hanging lights, and to change to recessed lights, would mean redoing the entire ceiling! My opening is approximately 8' long by 4' wide and 1' deep. I can't believe that no one has come with an idea to change this from an outdated eyesore to an innovative focal point in a kitchen. And don't suggest a ceiling fan with lights, which I have seen done, if you think ceiling fans are also outdated. Plus there is already a fan over the stove. This would be great future article, because I know there are alot of houses out there with this problem!
