Agreed with azurecat and sajoko. I guarantee that is NOT the same tub! The old one wasn't double ended (meaning one end is more vertical and less rounded), and I'm pretty sure there's no way to patch the holes from previous plumbing as well as create a deck mount where there wasn't one.

We just use a textured silicone suction mat on the floor of our claw foot tub when we shower. Then we rinse and hang it over the side to dry until the next shower. I definitely can see where showering with that stool taking up half the room in the tub could be part of the problem.

The new renovations to this bathroom are nice, but I really prefer the other better. There is a lot of extra stuff taking up floor space, like a nightstand? Probably there for storage, but it seems to be right in front of the sink. If more storage was needed, couldn't they still have raided that linen closet for space? Or some nice shelves on the wall?

I would have kept at least one accent wall of the original Victorian tile, if they had to get rid of it at all. It did look awful because someone already messed with it years ago and put up fake tin or whatever that was on the walls and just left a tiny bit around the sink. I would have kept the little sink in the corner or even reused it. Looks like one of those nursery sinks that you find between a child's room and a master bedroom. Hope they salvaged the sink at least!!

I too was disappointed that the sconce was no longer available, but was pleased to find that there is a very lovely and similar lamp for sale a Crate and Barrel. The wood touch is just a handle, but it is a pretty sconce: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/morgan-ivory-sconce/s679980
