Samantha Schoech I just killed the palm in the photo. If it can die, then I will kill it. but I'm getting better, I am.

newcs 3 things I've had good luck with (and I usually kill all houseplants): Aloe, spider plants and my new favorite are the mini orchids from Just Add Ice. I don't use ice since it damaged a leaf but this little plant from the grocery store has been going strong and blooming for a couple months now, even though I went away for 2 weeks. I just water it a little bit each weekend and don't do anything else.

nagoose The only plants I haven't killed are the plastic ones. The live ones that are still alive don't look nearly as good as the fakes, either looking sickly or near death. And I only get the "unkillable" ones!
I keep trying even after saying in despair to my husband as I recycle yet another plant I am just going to replace each one as they die with plastic ones. I definitely love plants to death. They don't last too long with me. Sigh.

J. Peterson Garden Design I love the conversation here! I use one of these materials in nearly every design I install. And I'm learning something as well--I've never used the Klingstone product, but will look into now.

vixenhouse Does anybody have an idea what I can out on my gravel driveway, not too expensive? Looks bad! Little blue grey gravel, gets muddy and packs down, washes away. Thanks!

nathanjison I love the color in these rooms! The modern style can easily come off cold but these rooms all look warm and inviting. shelbybella ..I like your candlesticks. :) and the flooring. A lighter colored rug and a few less ' Earth Elements' ( browns, etc.) and this room will look great.

La Lune Collection Another "home run" Samantha - extraordinary photos and commentary. We were inspired by photo #4 (with zebra rug) to post this photo of a library by Faith Sheridan Design Group in Seattle, showing off a zebra rug and La Lune Collection Desk #2140 - note the elephant sculpture on the desk!
