Climate Roofing Sydney
Great post!
In Australia, we rarely see shingles but often instead, home owners, builders and roofing contractors are opting for Colorbond products and recycled metal.
Metal roofing is ideal for the harsh Australian climate and lasts years if installed by roofing professionals.

I think that it might be a good idea to rethink the use of white and very light-coloured roofing as it reflects heat back into the already over-heated atmosphere - and glare can be a problem for surrounding homes and areas. Other than sand and snow there aren't many naturally occurring highly heat-reflective and high-glare surfaces.
