smalley Love the backsplash and the rich wood cabinets. It's a refreshing change from the white cabinets.

1xyz Hmmm! for those who think this is an awful color scheme. Imagine a walk in the park or nature, on a nice autumn afternoon, around 5ish... you are surrounded by all those trees with their autumn leafs, some greens still there, yet faint, leaving space to the creamy soothing colors... as an Orange Sun is about the settle, with the sky a mix of greyish blues, some pinks and your favorite soothing music caressing your ears. and here's your "Monet" pun intended.

ladymojo Don't like it ? Fine, but do you really need to slam it? Obviously the people who live here love it, and not everyone loves the same things. I have seen many things that really don't tick any boxes for me, but for every photo on Houzz there is something to learn, even if it is only to know that I really dislike it. It sure would be nice to read " NOT MY TASTE" instead of sneering and disparaging comments that are mean-spirited at best.

2raras Bobby2288, while we all appreciate honesty it's important to do your homework. In San Francisco and surrounding areas, major kitchen high end renos are closer to $75,000 to $100,000. I know this because we are being quoted right now. This classic color combo is unexpected in a kitchen and works so well. It's refreshing to see some personality rather than white on white etc. This definitely inspires me to use some color and personality in our renovations. Thanks for sharing this beautiful kitchen!

smuffy I also like this renovation and I am surprised that they could do all this for $45K in SF. It's okay that we all have opinions but when those opinions are expressed less as "not my taste (it's me)" but more as "you have bad taste (it's you)," then I think those opinions are counter productive. I can't afford many of the things I see on this site but I love looking at the beautiful renovations for inspiration and ideas. These people who share their homes don't have to. If we start attacking their home, design, judgment, taste, etc., then people will stop sharing. I think that will be a loss for all of us, even for those of us who would like to see something to know what we don't like.
