Carly, we bought one of the kitchen island carts for making drinks. My husband is a former bartender and we live in a beach town where everyone always wants a margarita in the summer. We have a red bull mini fridge behind the island and an old walmart entertainment center turned bar beside that. The cart holds the shakers, coasters, bar mats, wet wipes, napkins, glasses, juices, extra ice bucket, mixing tools, and a spray bottle with a disinfectant. It's black with a granite top and on wheels. Kitchen is used for glass clean up now and washing the mats so no more sticky counter tops. The mobile bar station sits in our converted formal parlor room turned pool room/bar.

Interesting article with lovely photographs. I have been wanting to hang some silk paintings and batiks, but I could use advice on the mechanics of hanging the large pieces. What are the best ways to attach them to a curtain rod or dowel without damaging the integrity of the piece?
