The only bathroom I really liked now that I can afford something nice is the one with the bright blue vanity and clawfoot tub. Everything about it appeals to me from the pale walls, to the hardwood floors to the white sheers. Just simple but elegant looking. Love it. When I start my remodel on my vacay I will be copying that look.

After a couple of bathroom remodels I used pocket doors exclusively. I see too many examples of the toilet put in a separate enclosure for what ever reason. Then having an in swinging door. What happens if someone has a medical issue or simply falls against the door? It could have very disastrous results. I cannot fathom why any professional designer would consider such a feature.

This is soooo helpful. I am in the process of renovating 2 bathrooms and giving one a shower/tub combo. Existing plumbing puts the vanity next to the alcove tub. How much space should I leave between the tub and vanity edge?

@rnsmcdonough, I am not sure I understand exactly. Do you mean the sink is next to the tub or across from it?

Our first creation is pretty exhuberant for any urban cyclist who wants to store its bike inside, in order to avoid thief. Some people told us : bikes have to be hidden! We told them... Yes! This is a first creation! We may be more "classical" next time! Having a look at those works, I'm not sure anymore. Please visit www.weelin.com. You might find your next city-bike. Tchao. YB
