The Lowdown on Bed Skirts

Sure, they hide the dust bunnies. But when you know all the options, bed skirts can rack up major style points too Full Story

None of these bedskirts are made of iron. Therefore, a vacuum, mop and/or broom can still be run under the bed to get dust.

I don't understand the comments regarding allergies or them collecting dust. If you have curtains (vertical pieces of fabric) they will collect as much dust as any bedskirt. Also, any horizontal fabric surface in your home will collect far more dust than vertical pieces. Think bedspread, comforter, chair, sofa and the list goes on.

The bedskirts are gone at my house. I love the look but they would not stay put and had to be "arranged" from time to time. I don't miss struggling with that mattress and a "run-away" bedskirt. Maybe, another day and another bedskirt...

Skagitnana well said. I buy mostly paperbacks and kindle books to read not to display. I pass them on when I am done.

Yeah, Benjamin! The place on my brother's block went for over a million. And it was in VERY rough shape.

Love the redo. Did you do window coverings? AND could you be a child of M. Wylie Blanchet? If so, please write about it.

We wanted our updated guest bathroom to have that tranquil beachy feel but without going overboard. I think it fell in the New England Prep category but with a little Country Coastal. Benjamin Moore's Palladium Blue was the perfect color to use.

Fun ideabook!

The look of Canada's Maritime Provinces is also an option. It's similar to County Classic and New England, but with lots and lots of bright primary colours and a wildflower boquet on the table.
