For those interested in solid surface, like swanstone, quartz, or other for walls--

Be careful to design or use floor that can be replaced without destroying your wallls. If you use a fiberglas pan and solid surface comes down over the edge of it, you may find it expensive to fix if fiberglass pan becomes etched or stained in the future.

Is it normal for the fronds to turn brown "midsummer? Mine look great until about July. Planted in shady spot with plenty of water.

Hi jeannie151. Mine do the same thing. I think that, when the fertile fronds begin to appear, the outer, infertile fronds frequently begin to decline. It's probably compounded by hot and dry weather. It's just what they do. Soon I will begin pruning those off, leaving the erect fertile fronds up for winter interest.
