stylingirl Another shout-out for the Moonflower. It's a morning glory type flower that only blooms at night and smells AMAZING! Do plant some!

Kim Gamel I do love moon flower and actually have one on my trellis now. I didn't include it mainly because some people consider it a nuisance because of its self-seeding habits. But if you enjoy it, by all means include it!

gschneider Word of caution about combining hostas & roses - most hostas generally tolerate a lot less sun than roses require. Just be sure you're picking compatible varieties.

clavrot I live in Switzerland and have just lost about 25 boxwoods to the newly settled caterpillar from Asia which has no natural preditor here (apart from kids who love to 'harvest' them off flailing bushes by the bucket full) . We can spray 6 times a year but this is not a natural option so I declined. Anyway, now I need replacements, I'll have to look into the ones you suggest, especially round my roses. Thanks
