By the time my husband retired from the army, we had packed our household goods 32 times! After that retirement, we made one more move and have been in our present home 22 years. Next week we will move again to a new state. How to make it home? We decided at the beginning that it was not the shell in which we lived that made a home but the pieces of "us" that was in it. Our children, the pieces of our past, furniture from our families, things we collected, the love within. That is what has made each place a home and even though we are making some real changes, we know our new house will be our home. God moves in with us each time.

Rose, that is not strange. I lived in the Bay Area for 6 years and I couldn't wait to get out of there. In Montreal, CA, I lived for one year and I loved it. So, it depends on the place and the people

printesa, you are so right. I have a summer home here in Maine and the neighbors here make me feel so at home and are so nice.
