color is the paint or stain on the cabinets? Nice!
I love that bench. Can you please tell me the dimensions, type of wood used, whether it has storage, and approximate cost to replicate? Thank you.
Where did you get the table? I really like it's base!
Where did the colored pendants come from? Really enhances this fab space!
What color is the bluish painted cabinets? We are looking for this color!
What is the height of the back cushions ( up
tell you. The space from the top of the wood banquette which is 13" above the floor to the underside of the projected sill under which 5" of the front to back depth of the back cushions are slipped ( this helps to hold them in place) is is 1' - 41/4". My detail had the back cushion going the full height

Where were the wooden pieces over the windows obtained? Thank you!
Were the chairs lacquered on purpose, i.e., with a black undercoat and oxblood red lacquer on top, and then distressed? Would appreciate as much detail as possible as to how this look was achieved. Thanks.
Love the wall color. Do you know what it is? Thank you, cpatrie
Love the comments! :) Thank you!
It photographs well, but I am not a fan of the big bench or couch for dining table seating. And I think the end chairs are lovely, but these particular ones look heavy to pull up to the table.

I'm not sure the paint color, it is how they came. A good one would be raspberry truffle by benj

rooted in the architectural traditions of the shingle style. It speaks of longevity, commitment, generosity and family gatherings over time. Built on a dramatic site with views across Puget Sound to the Olympic Mountains, the house sits at the edge of a grove of mature cedars, which ground the structure
Even the color is perfect. Can you tell me who the manufacturer is? Thanks so much.
Can you tell me the maker of the tiles used in the backsplash?
Could you tell me the manufacturer of the light fixture? Thanks so much!! Roberta
Where did you get the counter stools?
Is the counter top granite and what is the name of it?
What is the source for the range hood?
It is simple yet elegant at the same time. Even

headed to the store to buy my birch plywood.
I believe the plywood comes in 4 x 8 sheets. Did you cut them into 4 x4 sheets to lay them...I don;t see any place the plywood was butted together. Is it hard to keep up? Why did you purchase the more expensive plywood for the trim? My little cottage is dowtown
times and use orientals over it, shouldn;t that keep it still looking wonderful???
Bryn, Yes the sheets come in 4x8 sheets and for this project, we kept them in their full size. For the trim, we wanted to expose the 7-ply ends, which is why we went with a more expensive plywood. I have seen plywood used in the kitchen before, yet not the bathroom, but I don't see why you can't try it out

Love the mod podge of repurposed materials used to create this place!
Interesting use of 2 materials on exterior
Love the use of recycled materials
Like the door, wood and tin
The old tin and the untreated value of the shingles
love the rustic & the dog
again the combination of corrugated metal and old wood creates a nice texture
I like the mix of materials
The materials used on the exterior are an assemblage as well. Grace scouted local barns and mills for the reclaimed siding and corrugated metal, supplementing those with lumber milled from trees onsite. Grace used a chain saw for texture and a concoction that Mindful Design has perfected over the years
brings out the wood's tannins for color.

bricks were used to make patio?
They look to be real used brick. Were they cemented in?
Nice idea of the heavy timber bench alongside the fence with the ferns growing from behind it.
like the small trailer in back used as guest house
Love the huge wood beam as a seat
tree, use of different materials: blue stone (?) path, brick (patio), concrete walkway
The bench out of old beam
Simple bench blends in with the landscape
The old beam by the fence - perfect for seating in this backyard garden
shade to the backyard as well as the interiors of the house. Flowering a luminous pink and white in the spring, the tree bears fruit in the summer, used by the couple to produce delicious homemade jam. An Airstream trailer parked only feet away is currently in use as a guest house for friends and family
