Pinewold Cottage
The wrap around aspect. Exposed decorative joists. Wide front door.
I like how the decorative bottom of the pillar is up a ways, but not too far up--still seems like a bottom.
shaded outdoor spaces as possible. This home has porches on several sides. The people who live here can follow the breeze as it shifts during the day and fully experience the area's ecology. Having multiple comfortable outdoor spaces allows us to shift location as sunlight shines from different angles

Touches of comfort. These days we all have central heating, and if you're lucky you may have an open fire too. But I love using throws in the living room. Not only can you use them

Bunk Room
Do the bunk beds come apart, and make two day beds? my kids really like bunk beds, however, our ceilings aren't high enough in their bedroom. We really like the beds.
Children's rooms are a great setting for sports equipment decor. The casually leaning baseball bats in this photo show how easy it is to integrate them into a room's decor.

This swanky and rich bedroom looks great during the day — I can only imagine how posh it must look at night! Tip: Some of the best advice I've ever heard when it comes to designing dark spaces is to incorporate

This is what I call California casual. White walls with beadboard on the ceiling, an open layout and wicker chairs all beckon for lazy days with flip-flops left at the door.
it fits your theme. Usually this means taking your time and allowing your collection to grow organically over time.Tell us: Weigh in on themes in decorating. Do you love them, or do they make you cringe? Any more tips on making a theme work?

Court Project
Not hard at all. Wall paper glues are much easier to work with these days and are much easier to remove as well. This was room was designed for a 10 year old girl, and as she grows the wall paper can be changed out to add different color and vibe to the room. It's a great and easy way to update a space
from Pier 1. Totally reasonable in price. It was silver when I bought it, wrong color for the room, so I painted it vintage champagne to match the decor. Hope this helps!
