Bouldin Creek Residence
It's an amazing house, it fits so perfectly on the site. I love the tree.
I like the shape of the house and the look of the windows from the outside.
House fit into the steep lot
House wraps around the deck, and you see the outside all open.
wow nice back side of house!
The house progresses down a sloped lot, with increased heft as it goes. It’s squeezed around the oak tree in the middle, and a deck wraps the tree, making it the centerpiece of the design.A side yard provides space for play, and a pathway of loose rocks works as a swale to guide rainwater to the creek
activity also cannot occur near the root zone of the tree. In the photo here, the home and deck are built around a lovely sculptural tree.See more of this house

We have a bungalow that has attic crawl space. We are looking for ideas on how to expand the space to allow us to add a bedroom & bath. Did this house have headroom before you added on? Do you have any before pictures?
How deep is the porch from the front of the house to the steps?

Fun little play house built under the stairs
Rec Room: Kids house under stairs with window
Little kids play house is cute!
Great idea for playroom house under stairs.
Boost privacy. Many builder-grade houses contain hollow-core doors. These doors have a real-looking wood grain but are made up only of ¼-inch-thick parts, and are essentially cardboard and air inside. While hollow-core doors can be fine for certain rooms, I try to use solid-core doors for the bathroom

Monroe Street House
this project was phased in two parts to allow for the birth of the couple’s first child. Phase 1 is a standing seam-clad addition to the existing house that juts out into the rear yard, taking cues from certain trees and landscape features. The remainder of the addition is wrapped in stained cedar siding
palette that, even from the street, provides clues of what the backyard holds. Phase two takes continues this bold color palette into the existing house. The kitchen was completely made over, with concrete countertops and floor to ceiling windows looking out to the addition. The existing bedrooms and

I want this to be my house in the Spring time
Be vigilant about upkeep. Whether you grow your vines directly on your house or on a support, regular maintenance is essential. Keep vines trimmed clear of windows, doors, drainpipes, gutters, shutters and rooflines — any type of vine that becomes entangled in your home’s architectural features can cause
