rural, country look. As for cost, in Santa Barbara, probably $5-7. per foot, in any other part of the country, likely about 1/2 that amount. Not sure how the durability is in colder climates. CM

How can one get that effect on the walls with the paint? Is it scraping or a certain paint?
I believe all the flooring in the house was reclaimed from buildings in France. I don't know how it was finished after its installation here, but I would assume polyurathane?
thing-the brochure will tell you it only comes in certain colors but it isn't true-you can choose from any Behr color-the person working just needs to know how much to add since it is so thick. I was fortunate the Behr rep was there the day I was in so I got just what I wanted!

how to make kitchen look larger
I'm looking for bi-fold doors for a guest cottage about 8 wide by about 9 high. Nana is too pricey. How do you think Sunflex measures up? Also, in a smaller opening like mine, will settling, etc., cause many problems do you think?
I like the folding door. How it gives the possibility to enclose the inside space during the Winter, for heating purposes. This would allow for an 'outdoor' space, that would be
right back and you effectively remove a wall, opening up the living area and increasing the sense of space. Make sure the floor levels in the house and garden are the same in order to create a seamless transition between the two.
