Mill Valley Cabins
are there any specifications for the roof - just in case of branch fall etc
I have a quarry site, with lots of mature trees, and would want to ensure roof is structurally able to bear mechanical failure of nearby branches. Any help gratefully received, thanks
these roofs are how I want portions of the house to be. the foliage/vegetation will help cool the sections of the house
love the green roof! Love the sitting on top of the roof!
2 studios - upper art studio, lower yoga studio with green roof
Harmony with the setting. This green roof blends perfectly with the extended view and makes the cabin look less obtrusive in the landscape. A vegetated roof is less disruptive of local habitat than a typical roof.

Green roof - but not sure if that is better or if white painted roof is better. Also potential for terrace with flat roof?

Pride Corner in Connecticut, distributors of LiveRoof to grow and then they have licensed installers of the system and plants.

grade change can provide easy access to rooftops. Roofs built adjacent to a hill can result in entire expanses of occupiable vegetated landscapes. The entire footprint of this house, initially borrowed from the hillside, has been restored on the roof.See more of this house

Is ths garden on the roof?
I love the idea of growing plants, vegetation on the roof. are there big chances to have leaks into the hous
Concerned about the extra weight on the roof
I live in Canada and we have to be concerned anout the weight of the snow on our roofs. Many
Many people shovel their roofs. This garden is an awesome idea but how can roofs cope with the weight?
I agree! Just curious if these roofs could handle northern country winters Any suggestions?
determine whether your roof itself has the right slope to be a living roof. If it’s flat or up to 30 degrees sloped, it might be a good candidate. You’ll also want to think about whether it gets enough sun for you to grow low-maintenance plants.

Lake House Two - Exterior
We used a green roof contractor. I believe the system we used was from Carlyle.

How natural and beautiful is this green roof. Good for the bottom line on utilities too!
Environmental friendly roofs. Recycled materials, living plants, or solar paneling can be installed on existing roofs. Additional structural support may be needed when considering rooftop vegetation.Adding Interest: The green roof of this lakefront house has become part of the view from the patio.
Varying textures and colors of the vegetation blends with the sloping site.
Extensive and intensive roofs on the same project. The extensive green roof in the middle ground of this photo has shallow soil and shallow-rooted plants. The rooftop garden in the foreground is comprised of pavers laid
