additional support in the wall. She also added sturdy rope that connects to a ceiling truss and a ladder that also provides structural support. “I’ve swung from the rope and jumped on the bed,” Gonzalez says, “because you know they will.”
4 kids in one big room. I love the rope/swing support.

How is the bridge/steps supported over the pond?
Anyways MArgaret, the support must be narrow and it was right in the middle so you cannot see it in the image. it can be a cantilevered support attached to both ends. there can also be a vertical support underneath and are spaced accordingly. support can be made of concrete (if it touches the water)

on the corner where the 2 glass walls will meet because he claims it will be better supported. Is this true? isn't there a better way to do this without destroying the open look with a beam? How was this shower supported?
I really like the shower style but my contractor told me if I want to install the door and glasses without supporting component on the top, there would be safety concerns about the steadiness and possibilities of breaking if bend or pushed accidentally. I wonder
The only major support area needs to be where the door hinges. The corner in this photo is supported by channel and clips. The only issue comes when you hang a door from a glass panel and not the wall.

Upon entering the home you are encased by massive stone piers and angled cedar columns on either side that support an overhead rail bridge spanning the width of the great room, all framing the spectacular view to the Spanish Peaks Mountain Range in the distance
Love the raw trunk supports. And those windows! Love.
