on the wall to give the room a bit more color, but otherwise, I like the design. The flower pillows go really well with the room, it's a good idea.

to the walls and ceiling. Steel wool was used to burnish the walls and give them more depth. [Please make sure to seal the walls; otherwise, you can end up with stained walls]. This was a very laborious project, and it turned out beautifully.

It is just another option - a different method to achieve a shiny reflective finish in the walls.
Still another, less laborious, method for a shiny wall would be to use Sherwin Williams REFLECTION 7661.

color the walls are? I really like it, and would love to find it!
How do you make that texture on walls?
on the walls? what color?
The tissue paper method is one way to get a similar look. In this particular bathroom, we actually had the faux finishers apply a hand troweled texture with a metallic bronze finish over it. Thanks for all the ideas!
It is scrunched up tissue paper used like wallpaper, then painted. I've seen
and the techniques they used but we do not. I know there was metallic in the mix, but not sure if it was an integral plaster or a metallic paint. Many times faux finishers apply several layers and often adjust them on site with tints and washes and most do not write down their exact final formulas.

The whole room, including the curved alcove where flowers are, is a tissue paper effect. The walls were covered in tissue. (Pro tip= Rip the edges before applying with wallpaper paste. It makes edges
) most walls were painted in a rich burgundy with a dark cherry glaze. The alcove and ceiling were painted antique white with a caramel glaze. A border of flat black was applied and a metallic border was painted around both sides of the black.
The tissue was specifically chosen for it's physical texture
