1" bead is a separate piece.
How is the 1" bead added to the casing? Is it a separate piece or is it routed out of the 1x6? Thanks!

Hi Lisa--The border on this path is 1/8" rolled steel edging. It has to be secured in place, but it does make nice graceful curves and I prefer it because it doesn't rot over time and I think it looks better than the recycled plastic types of bender boards. Hope that helps you!
Thanks for the question. The path material is called 1/4 inch-minus crushed gravel. It's a local gravel made from basalt rock that is crushed, so it packs down well (unlike pea gravel). 1 1/2" and is completely round.
We custom designed the railing and then had a local subcontractor fabricate it. The railing consists of 1 1/2" stainless steel tube as posts, 3/4" x 1 1/4" rectangular frame, and 3/4" round infill. Handrail was Maple.
