have 2 1/4" natural oak with a high gloss finish but everyone says to take the plunge and go dark! I'm a nervous wreck and The contractor wants my decision ASAP!!!
jodylinsky1- I hope you are already properly elevated, flood zone compliant and structurally storm-resistant or whatever color your floors are, you may have to make yet more alterations. BTW, these floors look only mid-tone stain on oak, not dark and the finish appears to be satin, not high gloss. I'd suggest
