I like the finish. I think its a water based poly finish if my eyes serve me correctly. An oil based finish would have given it a honey color. Here is a similar floor made for client that used the oil based finish. You can

Is there an affordable alternative?? Bought "outdoor "cushions at a discount store locally, and they need many hours to drain water after a rain
looks as if this deck is built with Ipe. Tigerwood tends to have a lighter color with those really dark streaks running the length of the board.
