Water flows over the corten rusted-steel edges of this courtyard waterfeature and down into a small channel also filled with pebbles. This whole structure was set to finish flush with only a half-inch gap between the water surface and a cast concrete seat wall that extends along the courtyard’s perimeter
this a water feature or glass?
How long will the corten steel last as a water feature?
I have been advised this type of steel may not be too great over a long period of time as the water washes the rust effect away? It looks fantastic though and would like to use it if possible.
This looks fantastic. I can't figure out how you get the water to flow and how smooth it is. Is this an optical illusion and does the water flow from the wider to smaller widths ? Thanks

filled with aggregate to allow water to drain between the pavers.. Small size of pavers means cracking/heaving is not an issue
the rounded pavers have a cobblestone effect while offering water movement into the ground
Pervious pavers commonly have joints filled with aggregate to allow water to penetrate between the pavers. Tabs
Some ceramic pavers are actually porous themselves, allowing the water to pass through the surface directly, instead of through the gaps between. This means the gap can be narrower and doesn’t have to be refilled with aggregate

Obviously cannot brush teeth in it. Where does water go? Will the drain get mossy? It is such a great idea though. Truly a conversation piece. Love it
The water runs into a hidden drain in the floor covered by the travertine - you can see the small cut in the travertine.
think its a practicable choice given that you use it to wash your hands and the mess it must make on the floor and wall when it splashes down onto the drain tile at the end of the run.
creative idea for vanity and drain
Great sink Where does the water go
sink water slides into the shower drain
Some of today's sink designs don't need a P-trap, like the one in this photo. This sink doesn't even have a waste line; the water simply slides down into the shower drain!

flowing water indoors. Try a freestanding or built-in water wall, a trough that recirculates water or an indoor-outdoor rain shower. Or get creative and choose artwork that depicts streaming water or waves — it's the next best thing to the actual wet stuff.
