What kind of plant is that large circular one?
I'd like to know the name of the tree. Can it be planted only in tropical weather?
Water plants like lily pads will thrive at this depth also. They can't grow in deep water.

How deep is the Koi Pond here?
This pond is not dissimilar to one we're about to build....
....it runs along a hallway and will sit in a courtyard between two pavillions. Part of the pond's bottom shall be above our lower floor (the block is not at all flat) so waterproofing is of the essence
the building's original slab? Is it custom-made fibreglass, or simply dug out of the ground with pond liner on the bottom? It looks great. Thanks.....
I love the tiles/concrete used to go around pond. What is the material and colour? Is it a whole slab or tiles
and scored. The stone on the wall is a natural stone. The deck is epi and covers the filters for the ponds.
The ponds are 5 feet deep and have interconnecting underwater tunnels that allow the fish to seek cover from predators and also shade in the summer months.

I would love to make a big fish pond
Like the fish pond idea / brings good luck
the liners together. A small mistake can result in a big drainage problem, and you’ll lose your water and fish. Burrowing rodents also can nibble through the liner. “You’d be surprised how quickly a koi pond will drain into the ground,” Leidner says. Expert tip: If you do go with a rubber liner, Leidner
Woodland-inspired approaches. The soft plantings surrounding this natural-looking pool are a foil for the fish. Like the teahouse in the Asian-inspired garden above, it's also a perfect spot for relaxing after a long day.
Leidner recommends buying a few bags of concrete, poking holes in them and using the bags to line the hole. Then spray the bags with water and put the rubber liner on top. The bag will dissolve and the concrete will harden, creating a barrier that rodents can’t get through. Premade plastic tubs are a good
what kind of plant/tree is in the planter by the door?
What do you use to keep you water clear with that many fish? Your pond is beautiful.

how is the pond lined to be waterproof or so it doesnt leak? special cement? was it built with cinder blocks or form poured concrete
rocks in the pond and where to get them ?
I recently added a UV filter to my pond. Not QUITE as big as this pond, but close. I also have many fish. I'm amazed at how quickly it's cleared up the pond. Check with a garden center that specializes in ponds.
Fabulous water feature! Very original and must be extremely relaxing
It was part of a large remodel and I don't have the breakdown for just the pond.

Yes. This koi pond has a biological filter and pumps to help control the water quality. Thanks.

Hi there, I was wondering if you can refer me to the company who constructed the pond. We are in the design stage and we will nedd to involve the contractor to get more technical info. Thanks in advance
We inherited a koi pond with a bridge like this, but it is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. I'm not sure where to look to find a replacement. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me where this bridge was purchased, or if it was a custom build. Thank you!
looking into local pond supply shops in your area for natural solutions such as barley mats, fish, and other solutions. If the fish are not overfed, they will eat the moss in the pond if they can reach it. Also stock pond snails and bottom feeder fish to help. The fact that your pond is not completely

Pond in Rydal, Pa
I have about a 7f tX 7ft area that I want to make into a pond/waterfall. I have already collected a few big flat rocks to start and dug out a place to start it.
means the right amount of plants, fish, bacteria, etc to get the ecosystem established and flourishing.
I used a pump but never a filter.. I filtered the water with a very simple natural method. I had a step down pond from the waterfall to the main pond with gravel that I plugged with store purchased
in the bottom of the pond and you don't realize it you can pump the pond dry in very little time. Since the skimmer houses the pump you can only draw so much water from the pond before the pump will run dry. The pump running dry is not ideal and can cause failure, however the fish will still have a place

What are the names of plants used in the water feature?
We are starting over on an old koi pond at our just-purchased home. Need help with plants to put in. Thanks so much!
I need plants that will thrive in shade
What are the plants that surround the pond.
well near ponds too and water Irises. I like Cyperus, umbrella plant but they need containment because they spread.
Here's an article on types of plants that work well in a pond. http://www.aquascapeinc.com/index.php?page=articles&a_id=286
The aquatic plant on the right side of the pond and in
in front of the chair is Pickerel Rush. The terrestial plants outside of the pond were not planted by us. We installed the pond and the aquatic plants.
Here's a web page that has a list of aquatic plants that tolerate shade. You'll have several options from which to choose! http://aggie-horticulture
