Either way - it looks great and emphasizes how this simple, quiet, design can fit into so many vernaculars. It has Shaker roots, but finds a happy (art deco) home here. Full disclosure :-) we sell both S&R and molded versions of this design. http://www.houzz.com/projects/330582/Madison---An-Interio
Did you do all the walls in the room or was this just an accent wall? Thanks!
few more quick "doorguy" comments: the baseboards painted the wall color (or maybe the rug color?) and the door surrounds in white is interesting from a door and millwork perspective. Also, makes sense, considering the hor striping on the wall. A lot of *stuff* going on and a great result! (Like the escutcheon
It would be helpful to know what color is on this particular wall as a starting point. Could you share this information?

Paint an accent wall. It will add excitement to the room. Choose a wall that
furniture, or has an interesting architectural detail you can highlight. In a long narrow room, the best wall to paint is the farthest short wall. The color will draw your eye to it, making the wall appear closer to you.

Where are the white wall medallions from?
Wonderful decor! Glad to see different pillows with different designs. People seem to be afraid to do that sort of thing. I am not sure I would do the white wall hanging but I enjoy Eclectic and slighty Retro.
Check out the art behind & around the tv.
love the ceiling pieces on the wall
Style note: Draw attention away from the screen with statement-making wall decor like the ceiling-medallions-turned-wall-art shown here.
One of the first things that caught our eye was the amazing art installation on a wall in the living room. They’re actually ceiling roses, which Joi purchased

The celadon foyer wall sets the tone; it ushers the visitor towards the open living/dining/kitchen area, as the indigo blue wall with the white concrete fireplace caps off the design. Featured in Houzz Idea Book: http://tinyurl.com/cf5udwc
Nice work. Great contrast between the artwork and the walls themselves.
like the two different accent walls
Light floors, dark wall color, unique accent wall
Painted walls with large art pieces
Love the Accent Walls and the paintings.
Cool art work idea for living room wall
Interesting to see the light floor, white and the bold green wall and then a bold blue wall
layered with moody blue creates a one-two visual punch in this room: The wall in the foreground pulls the eye in, and the wall in the background appears to recede, for the illusion of greater depth.
