Foster Residence
I love the look of shiplap. Please tell me the width of the boards used. Thanks.
The walls are made of salvaged, painted pine shiplap.

if the horizontal wood on the walls is original (1910-1940's) then its most likely 8"-10" wide yellow pine boards, otherwise known as shiplap. its always so neat to start demo-ing an old home and discover this in all the walls!
glossy white everything--looks fresh, bright, and clean
like combo of breadboard and shiplap
Painted white paneled walls and ceiling, contrasts with hardwood floors.
Raised 3-panel interior doors. Also shiplap, which I love.
This minimalist hallway has a clean and refreshing feel. There might be colorful rooms behind each door, but the white hallway keeps them all in line.

Could you please tell me if the grooved shiplap is 1 x 6 or 1 x 8? I love your entry!
What is the stain used on the floors? Are they red or white oak?
dark floor, white interior trim, taupe walls
Love the white with the dark floors
feels very open because of several features — the glass exterior doors and their large transoms, the French doors that lead to the study, the white grooved shiplap siding and the 8-foot doors and 10-foot ceilings. "I chose the double French doors for the study so that I could shut out the noise when necessary

Genius Loci
The house is a combination of Western Red Cedar shakes and White Oak ship lap boards. Both are new material that weather fast because of the wind and salt water in the area. You can also get a similar look with reclaimed barn wood in place of the oak. It would be best for you to source lumberyards
aesthetic — and even celebrate it. This home uses unfinished wood as a weather barrier... it is clad in a combination of western red cedar and white oak shiplap boarding.
unfinished wood as a weather barrier. Sited near the sea on the tip of Long Island, New York, it is clad in a combination of western red cedar and white oak shiplap boarding. Appearing to rise above a stone foundation — a ruin, of sorts — the more delicate, natural wood structure fits nicely within the color
