Before you clean your Saltillo tile, test it for its absorption rate. Place a couple of water drops on the surface and see how quickly they are absorbed. If the drops are absorbed in two seconds or fewer, the tile is very porous. If it takes one to three minutes, the absorption”
“Saltillo tiles vary in their absorption rates depending on how they were sealed.
If your tile is extremely absorbent, it probably has not been sealed. Use a residue remover followed by a commercial Saltillo tile cleaning product. If your Saltillo has a low absorption rate, it most likely has been sealed”

For Maintenance:
