painted window box is a country-chic addition to a home's exterior, even if you live in the city. Here a winter planting of cabbages keeps the box green until it's time to plant warm-weather annuals.

How long is the window box? Is it custom? Love it,
This window box was custom made by my contractor. I'm not sure of the length but I was very pleased with the outcome for summer and fall plantings.
Are your window boxes wood with plastic liners inside or is the entire thing plastic? I have wood with plastic liners but it is rotting because of
summer boxes and then add mums and purple fountain grasses to extend into the fall season. Glad you liked them. Michelle Jacoby, Changing Spaces
First. Alway use white plastic containers with many holes on the bottom for drainage. 2. Be sure your window boxes also have at least four drilled holes

Window boxes add a lot to a plain building.
your window is long and low, you've got to balance it with a shallow but lengthy window box. Make sure the box extends at least a few inches out from the base of the window to create a pleasing line. There is nothing worse than a top-heavy window over a dinky window box.
