Every climate is different, and the direction your window faces comes into play as well, so consult your salesperson for the best choice when it comes to efficiency. In general, you'll want a window that has two or three panes of glass with space

Is window installed on the outside wall? Is the countertop the sill?
I love the look of this window. I'm trying to find out if the window is installed flush with the outside wall, then that would leave a gap (the wall width) between the window and the countertop. So, I'm
Hi, can you tell me the dimensions of the window? Is it double-glazed? Was it custom made?
I'm thinking maybe you extended the countertop right to the window (acting as the window sill)?? I can't quite tell from the picture how it all works. Please let me know I have to order my window very soon and want to make it look the best it can. Thanks. Shelley
@ himaldidi- the window is double glazed and is custom to fit the width of the space. The window height is 15".

This room had no closets or architectural details. We installed Ikea PAX cabinets on either side of the window and framed them in with drywall to make them look built in. There is a radiator beneath the window which we hid with the window seat.
Where did you find the mesh for the front of the window seat? Is this readily available. Assume you had a carpenter make it all to measure? Love it!

shelf above curtain and window in master?
They installed IKEA cabinets on either side, added the pretty mesh over the radiator, and finished it with a soft seat cushion with two bolsters
Love the bins above the window

The large windows around a desk office space
Maybe incorporate a mirror or fake window?
in a home office can increase productivity, minimize mistakes, lessen eye strain, and improve your mood. That's a lot of gain for some simple window installations — or for some proper furniture placement, as in this office, where the desk is positioned to maximize daylight exposure. One study even showed

While the basic elements of the original stairs remain the same the addition of a window and built-in bookcase as well as a new paint job give these stairs a nice makeover. Renovation/Addition. Rob Karosis Photography
Can you please tell me about the window/door trim? Thank you.
Love the built in bookcase.....the whole composition with the stairs and the window, the way the stairs are painted all turn a plain simple space into one with visual interest and aesthetics.
The staircase received a makeover, with a new larger window installed to let in the light and a much-needed bookshelf to take advantage of the thick wall.Click here to check out this space before
Even the bottom of a staircase can be more functional when shelving is installed. Cookbooks, along with baskets for holding crafts and supplies, can be stored here for easy access.

The custom half-circle window in the eating area is a unique focal point that drowns the kitchen in morning light and gives uninterrupted views of the backyard. The wall in front of the window was doubled, so that the surrounding sheetrock could be returned into the window with a rounded corner bead
I like the room windows and ceiling
A custom half-circle window was installed in the breakfast nook. The window makes the space feel larger by providing a view straight into the backyard and allowing plenty of morning light to filter through. A built-in bench provides extra seating and makes the space feel cozy. Table: Montego Dining table
