Salvaged wood forms the majority of the interior structure and the floors. Light is introduced deep into the house through doors, windows, clerestories, and dormer windows. The house is organized along two long enfilades that order space and invite long views through the building and to the landscape
type of stone is on the fireplace? Natural veneer or manufactured? Type?
The stones on the fireplace with the beauty of the wood trim and wood floor are amazing! Simply beautiful!
of old wood. We have a source for reclaimed T&G but it results in some pretty substantial gaps between planks. In any case, LOVE this floor - and trim for that matter! Our windows & trim will be new fir - would love to know finish & how you mellowed them down to this hue if new fir was used!
