such a spectacle. For a more refined method of cutting, a sturdy wood cutting board and quality bread knife will do the job best. The board shown here features a wooden lip that helps anchor it to the countertop for more precise cuts (and less chance of cutting yourself).
This Z-shaped cutting board adds a warm, organic touch to this sleek kitchen. The front ridge keeps the board in place, and the back keeps the knife steady while cutting; the raised back also lets you sweep chopped food into a pan or bowl in one fell swoop.

Laser cut panels over windows that slide
laser-cut wood panels that slide over the windows to provide privacy and light control. Talk to the man who makes these in SMA.
Photo 9 of 12 9. Laser-cut panels. This is a bold new take on the classic café curtain: laser-cut wood panels that slide over the windows to provide privacy and light control. Roll them onto the blank wall and they become art pieces.

How did you get the wood weathered look on the concrete wall?
How did you get the wood weathered look on the concrete walls? Thanks !
Have you ever tried this with rough cut cedar? I have been having problems with bug holes in the face after curing. Does using pine of fir help to alleviate this problem?
The wood look was achieved by actually attaching rough cut 2x4's to our concrete forms- (but you can actually
actually buy a form liner that will have this same pattern- it is more expensive to do it that way especially if it is a one time use...but the forms are at www.formliners.com Rough Cut 2x4's works great- and turns out nice as you can see. Thanks!

A custom water jet cut aluminum screen system,
feet. This structure is connecting the house on the front side, at terrace's slab (concrete floor) level. I am trying to find something in water jet cut idea for this...
I think something like this could work for a ceiling but it would require a fair amount of supporting structure beneath. Water jet cut panels tend to be thin, in our case, 3/8" so they wouldn't be able to span very far on their own. If you had beams across your space at a regular interval
These are beautiful. I would love to have something like this, but am afraid that the pattern would lead me to headaches.. :)
Water jet-cut aluminum screens on floor to ceiling windows. Love these!

better served cutting the 6 x 24's in half to 3 x24. The kitchen is is 10x11 and would have white cabinets. Wondering if some rule of thumb exists in terms of how wide a tile to use, when going with a herringbone pattern, relative to the size of the room.
interested in using wood effect tiles on the floor of my all white walled and fixtured narrow en-suite do you think these will make the room look too dark and male the room look small

love that cutting board! where is it from? Stunning kitchen!
Where can I get the cutting board on the island?
Is this a refinished floor? If not, what kind of wood, stain, & finish
The opposite side has a second sink (With the main sink out of view to the right)... There is a second dishwasher next to the island sink. The cutting board (out of Walnut) has a slot for crumbs. That slot opens into a small drawer (that is visible in the photo) that has a lift-out liner for emptying
intend on cutting that rustic loaf with the chef's knife?
counter butcher block cutting boards. I have four of them. When I bought the house they were warped. A carpenter reglued, patched and sanded them. I've been caring for them with Howard Wood Block Conditioner. Food Grade Mineral Oil & Natural Waxes (Home Depot). Actually I don't cut on them. I put a thin
thin plastic cutting mat down on top. It feels different to chop on plastic on wood vs on top of a hard counter top. That I can easily wash. Otherwise the board attracts mice in the fall/winter. I use the boards a lot for extra space. They almost double my counter top usable space in times of need.
There are lots of websites that give information about preparing and maintaining cutting boards. Hope this helps. http://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-oil-and-maintain-a-wooden-cutting-board-lessons-from- the-kitchn-195642
