This wood-fired oven got some attention when this picture was included in a Houzz article. This paver patio with stone inlay and the oven in the corner is set in an urban setting. This is a simple oven sitting atop modular wall block. There are more elaborate ovens with stone surrounds but they don't

fire pit can match pizza oven
If you don't have the option to include an indoor wood-burning oven, consider carving out a bit of space in the yard to build a smaller version. Regardless of whether you opt for an indoor or outdoor pizza oven, always check your local building codes and speak with the building inspector before starting

We took a large kitchen that could be overwhelming and transformed the space to create a sense of intimacy by using earthy materials like the wood beams on the ceiling and wooden cabinetry and mixes of natural stones. The other challenge is the request from the client to have a contemporary approach

Need a light coloured wood that isn't too white
That depends on the brown tint and the effect you want to create. I wouldn't choose colors too close to the wood.
Wood stack on side of fire
Clean crisp look for storing wood
Around the back. Take the focus off the wood storage entirely by building in an alcove around the back of the fireplace. Here a simple wing wall stores the logs. Design tip: Drywall is very susceptible to damage. Use care when placing your wood inside an alcove like this.

The entire firebox is fireproofed from the wood- so it doesn't come into contact with it.
