One of my bedroom walls is painted wood? How can I get it to
I guess I was unclear in my previous question. I am referring to the top and bottom of horizontal boards - how were they milled? were they just left raw or milled to hide the nails? or were they straight cut so fit together smoothly? I am purchasing barn wood and would love
such various ways it's just never seen. This is true "faux" at it's finest. Fireplace stones that were never stone.... awkward endcuts on wood that previously blared as unfinished lines and details to attend to. Faux wood finishes and cabinetry/furniture finishes to look like they've been there foreever

Can you describe what the material is on the fireplace please?
what kind of wood is used on the wall?
bit on the fireplace surrounds we build. Its very organic looking and very durable. There are several ways to accomplish it but not with paint.
Gee no answer yet, darn. The wood is awesome
awesome, I love it. Probably reclaimed wood from an old cabin somewhere. Eh, I don't know just a guess.
You could try emailing the architect or designer & asking them for specific info. It looks like steel sheeting w/ some sort of finish.
This metallic fireplace looks fantastic. We think it would go great with one of our metal mesh firescreens.

Down to Earth
How was this fireplace was constructed
How did they build this fireplace . Love the exposed concrete board look. How to build?
What kind of wood did you use for the mantle, does it bleed or weather? Where did you get the wood?
poorly built and designed outdoor fireplaces. This is very disappointing, expensive and in one case dangerous. The two primary reasons are landscapers being tempted to sell and construct a fireplace on a project and inexperienced masons. It has been decades since masonry fireplaces were common place
combustion units (masonry fireplace, masonry oven, masonry heater) in your interview process. Again, some of the fireplaces I've had to correct were beautifully done on the outside and exploded brick all out in front of the hearth after only a firing or two. Properly designed, you'll enjoy a lifetime
