Our Projects: Kitchens
The kitchen is designed for functionality with a 48” Subzero refrigerator and Wolf range. Add in the marble countertops and industrial pendants over the large island and you have a stunning area. Rachael Boling Photography
color on the floors? What type of wood?
is the floor rubio monocoat? or does it have a poly finish? it looks beautiful.
What did you use for the ceiling? Is it tongue and groove wood of some sort?
I'm wondering what the floors are? I love the dark contrast to the white cabinets.
What type of hardware did you use on the cabinets? Beautiful kitchen!
I love the color of the wood floor! Is it a dark walnut or ebony stain???
I keep going back to look at this beautiful kitchen. Just wondered what you would recommend - 2 or 3 13" Benson pendants for island approx 9'x3' and the placement of the pendants. Thank you.

What is the tile on the floor?
How wide is the kitchen? My kitchen is 11 foot wide and I don't know if an island will look right. What
more samples and ideas on kitchens as well as cabinets! We would love to help you in any way we can.
This kitchen is about 13 feet wide, it is a u-shaped kitchen. To make an island work in
in a u-shaped kitchen you need a minimum of 158" of space. To make an island work in an-L-shaped kitchen, you need a minimum of 133" of space. Neither of these options would include an overhang for seating. To add seating, add about 15-18" to either of these dimensions. I am assuming 42" of clearance
“I like the look. Notice the differing lengths of the pendants. You need good lighting over the sink” — stacyelllen

Love the floors! What color is it and is it laminate or wood?
Am in the process of replacing carpet for dark floors, but I see any that I love yet. But I really like these in the pic. ~Bailey
The floors are standard red oak with a minwax stain mixture of ebony and jacobean. You will have to experiment with the stain combinations. The white cabinetry and stainless steel toe kicks make the floors appear darker, too.

do you who makes your wood flooring?
The type of wood is santos mahogany. I am not sure where you are located, but many wood flooring companies carry it. This particular flooring is out of New York.
Santos Mahogany is a beautiful wood floor, but too dark, red for us, I think? Still worth considering.
I like the floors and the rest of the wood finish...
Flooring materials- I like simple, wooden floors. They are easier to clean and give a more modern look.
clean white walls + mahogany floors
prestige of the mahogany name. Santos mahogany is frequently used as a flooring material due to its extreme toughness. Philippine mahogany is often turned into plywood, known as lauan. Red mahogany is another misnamed wood; it's actually Australian eucalyptus.

this is best fit I think... Mix of clean and old wood and soft furnishings
A checkerboard floor pattern set on the diagonal is the key to making this hallway feel wider and more sophisticated.
