brand of wood is the floor?

how would I create that look?
What size tiles did you use for the inlay. do you recall the brand and color?
boards are custom. You can work with a local millwork shop to produce this look. Make sure you have experienced finish carpenters to install. Thanks, and good luck!

What color stain is used on the hardwood flooring?
There is no stain. The wood is natural Jatoba.
Or also known as Sapele with a riff cut, which is what will make you see the straighter lines of the wood grain in many species. This is an African Mahogany.

What kind of tile is the floor - manufactuer and color...
not feeling any love for that tile above the stove. Looks like an afterthought that didn't go well. I'd have chosen a different countertop too. Too busy for me, for as often as I'd be looking at it. I'd have gone black.

The flooring is it travertine or limestone? it is beautiful
pattern and the variation you see is the natural color variation. stone is called blue creme. it was purchased from GRANITE AND TILE RESOURCES at the mart in chicago.
purposefully used a wood that doesn't have a lot of gaining...like alder or maple or cherry. Bc we wanted a darker espresso stain, we went with alder. Maple doesn't stain dark and cherry goes red, which we didn't want. He stain is actually a dark brown with red undertones.
