wondering how to paint it to get a super smooth finish like what I see in your photo. I don't want paint "cracks" to appear in the grooves (when the wood expands and contacts). Is ths achieved by caulking the grooves, or are there actually cracks in the grooves I'm not seeing? ANY tips would be GREATLY
